+​ 3DMammogram

  • Conventional mammogram is a 2D image.  The diagnostic power is limited by overlapping tissues.  3D mammogram captures multiple slices of the breast, all at different angles. Multiple images of the breast are reconstructed into 1mm thin slice of the breast.  The radiologist is then able to review the reconstructed images, one thin slice at a time. 

  • With this technology, overlapping glandular tissue can be removed and cancers can be more accurately diagnosed. It has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of United States as a screening and diagnostic tool for breast cancer.

       - 3D mammogram gives more information by uncovering abnormalities from overlapping tissues,increases invasive cancer detection rate by 40-51%

  •  Less Additional view

        - 3D mammogram can eliminate the need for additional spot compression view.  This avoids unnecessary radiation, compression and anxiety

  •  Radiation dose 

        - 3D mammogram is comparable to that of 2D digital    mammogram and well below FDA safety level (Radiation    dose of conventional 2D mammogram is much higher)

Less Discomfort
  • Less compression force can be applied with 3D mammogram. Our C-View / Intelligent 2D system significantly reduces compression time (down to 3.75s for each view)

  • Can remove lesion completely. 

  • Sampling size larger than core biopsy and fine needle aspiration, thus more accurate result

  • Can replace open surgery for removal of benign lesion such as fibroadenoma

Supersonic Aixplorer

Supersonic ultrasound model allows anatomical structures to be seen clearly and distinctly.  It enhances margin delineation and distinction of discrete tissue types.

 

It is also equipped with shear wave elastography, which is a real time color-coded elasticity map with objective measurement of tissue stiffness. 

 

Studies have shown that shear wave elastography can improve specificity of breast ultrasound mass assessment without compromising sensitivity.
